HIEROGLYPH
Hailing from the living rooms, backyards, and basements of Washington DC, alternative pop-rock band HIEROGLYPH brings the perfect blend of boy-youth angst and buffoonery. The group consists of guitarist David Yang, bassist Ethan Freed, guitarist Jack Griffin, and drummer Anthony Wassink. The band just released their debut album “(the) Hieroglyph” in February, check it out on your favorite streaming platforms! Stay tuned for new material to come very soon! *** Alligator Hands blends alt-rock, rap, and pop into something honest and hard to define. The Baltimore band formed in late 2024 after Brady Scott (vocals/ukulele) brought a binder of lyrics and chords, written over the past five years, to Ryan Fitzgerald (drums) and AJ Lockner (bass). What started as a collection of demos recorded in early 2025 evolved into their upcoming debut album, Delicate Cindy, recorded that summer. The album focuses on themes such as adapting to change, the loss of bonds, and self-acceptance, drawing from Brady’s experiences with relationships and his societal transition as a trans man. Their first three singles, “What’s on My Mind,” “I Can’t Hang Out Tonight, My Boyfriend Said ‘No,’” and “Boss” are out now, with more to follow.
