CAL VEATCH
Rising American singer-songwriter Cal Veatch bridges the gap between Millennial and Gen Z generations with emotionally honest indie pop rooted in confessional songwriting and warm, modern production, often drawing comparisons to everything from Michelle Branch and Ryan Cabrera to modern breakouts Gracie Abrams, Sombr and JP Saxe. In his own way, Veatch ushers in the next generation of creatives hailing from Northern Virginia in the shadow of the nation’s capitol putting pen to paper producing heartfelt anthems about love and heartbreak and a myriad of narratives that lend to the human condition. His voice captures the disaffected but hopeful vibe of both generations that resonates far past the beltway by harnessing the raw sense of fear, anger and frustration with a healthy dose of hope and intense desire for growth and change that embodies the spirit of being twentysomething and coming of age during unprecedented times with no shortage of pop infused anthems like his brand new single,”Summer Bloody Summer” and fan favorites “Walk Away” and “Fade into the Dark” driven by guitars that are never shy to borrow elements from rock and alternative styles creating a unique signature sound that translates well to both intimate stages and the festival space seamlessly. *** Soul Meets Body is a high-energy punk rock band from Washington, DC, blending the raw power of DC hardcore with sugary pop melodies, grungy textures, and a touch of shoegaze haze. Their sound is as eclectic as it is cohesive—equal parts grit and glitter, delivered with theatrical flair. Known for their dynamic live shows and unapologetic presence, Soul Meets Body isn’t just here to play music—they’re building a community. Every show is a safe, inclusive space for all people, regardless of race, gender, or belief. Come for the noise, stay for the revolution. *** MOODWALK is the stage name of artist & producer Jonathan Harris. Following a national tour with his former band Animal Sun – the last chapter of a 6-year-long project, Jonathan moved to Richmond, Va to pursue writing and producing his own music (and totally not because of a girl). Fueled by nostalgia, heartbreak and a visceral sense of yearning and questioning, he created the moniker MOODWALK and set out on a solo endeavor that aims to give his listeners a shoulder to cry on, but with a high energy twist that ebbs and flows between states of danceable electropop moments, anthemic alt rock euphoria, and more recently, even dipping into the familiar bouncy angst of 2000’s pop-punk and grunge. MOODWALK continues to push boundaries with his cinematic indie/alternative EP “Wake Me Up” – with the title track featuring electric violin solos, lyrical play a la The 1975, and heavy electronic elements reminiscent of timeless pop edm tracks from the likes of the Chainsmokers and Porter Robinson. Throughout the EP, listeners may catch onto some of the notable influences such as The Killers, CHVRCHES, Dagny, Coldplay, Vicetone, LANY, Switchfoot and other favorites of his. The result is a melodramatic, unique blend of indie-tronic, alternative pop and melodic bass – all tied up in a bow with a sprinkle of edgier rock elements and orchestral soundscapes that pay homage to his musical roots.
